You’re born alone. Then you meet your family. And start to make friends. Then you find the special someone you want to spend the larger part of your life with. Still, at the end of the day, you will be alone in your thoughts and you’ll go to sleep alone - even while your head is on their shoulder.
You live the next few decades of your life with the love and warmth of your family, friends and chosen companion. Then you die. You die alone.
You may have the best friends in the world, the most supportive family and the most suited partner. Still, at the end of each day and the end of it all, they will still only have been in the periphery of what your life was.
Because your life is your battle to fight. You’re your only army.
